The next great smartphone from Samsung could be announced in a little more than a month ? and now we think we know more about the fourth-generation Galaxy S, aptly named the S IV.
Aimed at both the general consumer and the business user, the S IV is poised to deliver a remarkable 1.9 GHZ processor, with a 1920x1080 panel that is full HD, and running on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). The specs come from the Japanese blog RBMen, which got its hands on a benchmark featuring the Samsung SCH-I545, which industry watchers believe is the S IV.
Conventional wisdom is that the new phone will make its debut this spring; tech site SlashGear is saying there will be an event in the U.S. marking the unveiling of the handset on March 22, followed by a launch in April.
Samsung's Galaxy S series has become more popular with every version that's been released. While Apple's iPhone remains the best seller globally, Samsung ? with its long line of Android handsets ? is far and away the leader in market share.
