Don't over think the details just have fun! You worry about your childs happiness. You are concerned with keeping your house from being torn apart. Worrying about whether or not you have all of the appropriate supplies on hand especially for your left handed tykes to use can be on your mind. The good news is that craft time along with your children does not have to be so stressful. Read on for ideas that will help make craft time more enjoyable for everyone.

While you're having fun along with your crafts, keep tabs on the clutter and garbage and clean it up as you work. If a project involves cutting out lots of shapes, cut those initial and then put the left handed scissors and extra paper away. If you need to glue anything, do that and do the same. Doing the spot cleaning as you work on creating your craft will help make the large clean up at the end of the project a lot smaller of a task. Just like preparing and cooking something, if you pick and clean-up during the process, then when you're done it is not a huge messy kitchen. Try to do your crafts in a big enough room. You'll thank yourself for allotting enough room to work. If you have a kid using left-handed scissors, then if other kids (who are right handed) are nearby, then that could pose some problems, and bickering. Also having more room allows everyone to be organized and keep their own art supplies nicely laid out. If you are all crowded around a small table, tempers will run high and the instances of accidents will be large. More space lets people feel calm, and there will be a reduced chance of anything getting spilled, etc.

Crafts plus children plus liquids equals spills - it is going to happen. Anyone can accidentally grab a pair of left-handed scissors, and be a righty, and then they spill something. The more calm you are about the unexpected mistakes, the more calm your kids will be. Nobody has enjoyable when others are upset about something minor. No big deal, grab a rag and soak up the spilled whatever, and then proceed to enjoy the day. It's true - crafting is more of a stress event for the parents than youngsters. Children basically like to be creative and "make stuff." As expected, it's the adult who will worry about making it all happen and be perfect for their children. But if possible, do try to be relaxed once everything is underway. When all is relaxed and enjoyable, life is great - even if you need left-handed scissors and didn't get them.
