Dutch Harbor leads tonnage catch in NOAA listing (AP)

KODIAK, Alaska ? Unalaska-Dutch Harbor tops the port rankings for most tonnage of seafood landings.

KMXT radio reports (http://bit.ly/15KdoW) Dutch Harbor had 515.2 million pounds of fish in 2010 to lead the 2010 port rankings from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Reedville, Va., was second, about 89 million pounds behind Dutch Harbor. Other Alaska towns on the list include Kodiak at No. 5 and Cordova at No. 8.

In terms of value, New Bedford, Mass., had $306 million to place first on that list. Dutch Harbor came in second on this list, with $163 million. Kodiak was third at $128 million, followed by Naknek at nearly $101 million and Cordova at $84 million.

Seward came in ninth place for value at $69 million, and Sitka was 10th with $62 million.
